Is Survey Momma A Scam

Survey Momma advertises itself as a fast, easy and smart way to get paid for sharing your opinion and boasts 1000's of members.

But what is Survey Momma exactly, how does it work and is Survey Momma a scam or legit way to get paid taking surveys? Because not all survey sites are created equal.

I've given Swagbucks my highest rating for surveys for far, so let's get to it and see how well Survey Momma compares.

Survey Momma Review At A Glance

About: Survey Momma is a survey platform promising to pay $75 for each survey. It's actually just an aggregate site.

Price: Free to join.

Pros: Nothing.

Cons: Sends you to scammy survey sites, phishing, pays little than what was promised.

Verdict: It's not an outright scam but there's no point signing ups for this when it just directs you to real survey sites.

Is Survey Momma Even A Survey Site?

At first glance Survey Momma looks like any other paid survey site except they promise up to $75 per survey. That's about 300x the amount you can typically earn.

What is Survey Momma Review

They say you can sign up to make money completing surveys, but that's not exactly how this site works…

Rather, SurveyMomma.com is what's often called a ‘paid surveys aggregate site' meaning they have no surveys of their own and send you to third-party sites. Once you sign up for Survey Momma, you're going to have to go ahead and join dozens of different sites individually.

While this doesn't mean Survey Momma is a scam, it does throw into question why the site exists at all when you can find these sites yourself on Google.

Not only that, amongst the list of survey sites they recommend are many I've already reviewed here on this blog and some are dubious, to say the least with extremely low payouts and high account suspension rates.

survey momma scam legit review

For example, they promote a site called E-Poll…

In my recent EPoll Surveys review, I found numerous complaints from members saying they had to wait over 6 weeks to receive a payment.

Another site is Inbox Pays. In my Inbox Pays review, I exposed this company for refusing to pay it's members and shutting down accounts for no reason.

They also promote Project Payday Research, an outdated site with no surveys.

What I'm trying to say is: the sites you're being recommended are not exactly the best reputable sites. This is hardly reassuring.

The only reason a site like this exists is to make commissions by sending you to a dozen or so different sites and making a commission every time you do, regardless of whether you make any money or not.

Why Is MommaSurveys.com Redirecting People To A Phishing Scam?

I decided to try and join one of these sites but something very strange happened…

When I clicked on the Learn More or Join Now buttons, my internet browser threw up this error message:

is survey momma legit

You'll have to excuse the Thai writing but it basically it says something to the effect of, “This website may be a phishing site“.

Here's a phishing definition according to Microsoft.com:

“Phishing email messages, websites, and phone calls are designed to steal money. Cybercriminals can do this by installing malicious software on your computer or stealing personal information off of your computer.”

This is serious cybercriminal activity and I have no idea why Survey Momma is getting involved with these phishing scams. Some people say the site has been hacked.

I decided not to put myself at risk by clicking through to see what was at the other side and I highly recommend you don't either.

Survey Taking Pays Less Than $1/Hour

Another problem I have with taking surveys online as a way to generate income is they often exaggerate how much money you can realistically make.

In their FAQs section Survey Momma even states if you signed up to all of their recommended sites (10 in total) you could only expect 2-4 qualifying surveys per month.

How can you make anything close to even a part-time income doing that?

Who wouldn't like the idea of filling out simple surveys for easy cash in their spare time? It sounds straightforward enough and since Survey Momma and other sites like it are free, what do you have to lose?

But here's the deal:

When you sit down and factor all this in, you're working for an average $0.25-$0.50 an hour maximum. If you’re prepared to work for a fraction of the national minimum wage then maybe survey sites are a good fit.

Is Survey Momma A Scam?

Survey Momma is not a scam, but it's not a paid survey site either; rather a list of survey sites that when you click to join send you to an illegal phishing site.

In short: SurveyMomma.com may not be a scam, but they are sending you to a scam site which puts your identity and finances at risk.

If you're looking for how to make serious money online, do me a favour and forget all the silly survey sites.

Even if you invested 10 hours a day filling out mind-numbing questionnaires, you'd be lucky to make $10. Sure, you can earn a little extra here and there, but there are far better, more reliable ways to earn money online.

After wasting so much time with surveys I finally decided if I was going to earn a full-time income online then I needed to start a real online business. I am so glad I did.

Today I make more than $7,000 per month, enough for me to quit my job and leave my sleepy English village for a life in the tropics.

If you want to create an online income stream then get the exact formula I follow.

Yes, it takes work to start, but the earning potential is HUGE and definitely worth it.

  1. The amount of time you have to put into surveys to get any sort of almost decent income is just insane. I knew that, but I did not know it worked out to be only about 50 cents an hour, that’s just crazy. I used to do them, but gave up on them because I was sent so few surveys in and they paid you practically nothing. Doesn’t stop me from checking them out though. Thank you for looking into Survey Momma, it seems pretty sketchy with them purposely sending you to a phishing site. How is that allowed? I will have to check out this other method that you mention though.

    • Yeah, as I say, I’m not sure if this is intentional on Survey Momma’s part of or they’re are completely unaware. Though it shouldn’t take them long to realise. I mean, survey sites as a whole are a complete waste of time but this is the first time I’ve seen them put you in danger of internet fraud.

In reagrds to the internet business training, the beginner’s course is free and they’re currently open to new members so definitely check it out. You’ll get direct help and support from me too.
