If you're looking to learn how to become an affiliate blogger and don't have a website yet, keep reading.
If you have a blog but want to learn how to make money with your blog through affiliate marketing, stick with me.
I've been an affiliate blogger for 3 years now and I think I've done pretty well.
I'm not a millionaire yet but I'm making $7,000+ monthly (and growing).
Think big and don’t listen to people who tell you it can’t be done. Life’s too short to think small.” –Tim Ferriss
Like you, I knew I wanted to learn how to make money online through blogging but I was complete beginner and I didn't know where to start.
That is until I found a training platform called Wealthy Affiliate where I could get started for free and started the affiliate marketing training.
Honestly I owe all of my success to what I learned in the training videos, tutorials and helpful affiliate blogging community.
I was starting from scratch but I did it! (read my full story here)
- I've moved from my mum's house in the sleepy village of Swillington, England to my own condo in Sriracha, Thailand.
- I quit my dull call centre job and made the transition and now I work full-time as a volunteer missionary working with children and families in Thai slums.
- I've gone from financially dependent to independent – it's what enabled me to change my life and I've never looked back…
Why should this matter to you?
Because if I can go from knowing nothing about affiliate blogging to creating and running 3 successful money making blogs then whatever your dreams are, whatever your online income goals are – you most certainly can too.
Let me show you how to become an affiliate blogger in 2021 and make money online.
It comes down to these 3 vital components:
1. You need the right training
As I've already mentioned, I learned how to become an affiliate blogger by following the Wealthy Affiliate training.
Let me tell you: the training is absolutely top notch. Each course comes with video courses, question and answer, live chat areas, amazing community support and action steps at the end of each lesson.
It's hands down the best affiliate marketing training for beginners I've ever seen and you'll be building your blogging business as you go.
Because especially when you're starting out as an affiliate blogger, you need a simple, step by step guide and how-to to get from where you are now to where you want to be.
The Wealthy Affiliate community will take you by the hand and guide you through the exact process (myself included).
Here's a quick overview of what the free affiliate marketing training covers, each step in detail:
2. You need the right support
In becoming an affiliate blogger you're undoubtedly going to be learning new skills and wrapping your head around concepts you've never come across before.
I know for me there were times when I doubted myself or got a little stuck understanding a particular part of the training.
When this happens to you (because it will) – promise me you'll reach out and ask for help.
Whether you need to bounce some ideas around, get feedback or ask what you think is a dumb question – with the community support at Wealthy Affiliate you never have to struggle alone or stay stuck.
Even with the best affiliate marketing training, there will still be times you're not feeling quite sure, need feedback or just wanted to bounce ideas off of someone.
It's an online community of affiliate bloggers or willing one another on to succeed and reach their online income goals. This means you can ask questions and get answers, find mentors who are already experienced and successful affiliate bloggers.
Save yourself years of time and give you and your affiliate blogging business the very best chances of success by getting the right community support.
3. You need the right work ethic
The third critical component of becoming an affiliate blogger is being patient and working hard.
I see too many aspiring affiliate bloggers quit too early on before they reach their breakthrough point.
Some quit because they don't have the right training and know-how…
Others quit because they get suck and have no one to reach out to…
But what I see most often is people quitting because they tried it for a month and they're not making as much as they'd like yet.
Here's the deal:
Becoming an affiliate blogger is not a shortcut to riches. Building a successful and proftable affiliate marketing blog takes time, energy, patience and hard work.
For me, I wanted it badly enough to work at it until I started seeing results. It's why I completed the action steps at the end of every lesson and why my blogging portfolio earns me over $6,000 every single month.
At Wealthy Affiliate you're going to have the right training, support and tools available at your fingertips, everything you need to become a successful, money-making affiliate blogger.
What you add to the mix is your passion, energy, determination and willingness to take action.
Ready to start?
Anyway, that's enough of me talking.
It's time for you to start your own affiliate blogging journey and see for yourself.
Today I've shared with you how I became a full-time affiliate blogger and exactly how you can do it too.

I wrote yesterday? You may have deleted it it was messy. Sorry about that. I too am looking for ways to get started making money. I am still living with my parents and don’t want to be. I’m disabled, finding work is hard. But I do love to write
Hi Sarah, yes sorry, I couldn’t make head or tail of it 🙂
There are tons of ways to make money online.. the question is which route you want to take. Your best bet is affiliate marketing though it does take time for the income to start rolling in.

This is a really informative outline on how to be a successful blogger and you are very qualified with the results you have achieved to be an authority on the subject. Training support and a good work ethic are all essential ingredients to being successful in any field. The other ingredient I would add is commitment. It is tempting to give up when we are not getting results but you have proven it pays off to hang i and stick with it.
Do you tend to focus all your blog articles on a particular niche or do you cover a variety of topics?
I was also very impressed with what you are doing with your life aside from blogging. The rewards in serving others are priceless.
Thank you for sharing. I am keeping a link to this site.
Thanks for sharing Judy! Commitment is a biggie!
It’s the first 6 months that people struggle with right? Google sandboxing means a new website isn’t going to hit the coveted #1 spot on Google search results until you get to the 6 month mark.
Before then, you’re writing daily and yet you’re still not seeing any improvement in rankings, traffic or sales. It can be very disheartening. Most people will quit at this point because they don’t realise you stick it out, put the work in and the results will come! (I promise!)
As for me, I have several webstes based around different topics. The Wealthy Affiliate training will take you through how to pick a niche (topic) for your site, preferbly a top you’re interested in and can help people with.
So I’m primarily working in the church leadership and language learning niches because, as a Christian missionary in a foreign country, that’s where my passion lies. Everyone is different – I know WA members who have been very successful with in the gaming, outdoor fitness, gardening and music niches to name a few – it really is up to you!
Hello sir, I am a newbie on affiliate marketing and I need to make money seriously. How long will it take for me to make money with an affiliate marketing website? You have recommended me to join Wealthy Affiliate, is it for free or do I need money to join? Have you started making money yet. I would love to hear from you.
Hey! Don’t worry, I was a total beginner too at one point but starting my first affiliate marketing site was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Affiliate marketing is never a get rich quick solution as it takes time to learn how it works, choose your niche (topic), launch your site then create content that will get ranked in Google search results.
I made my first sale after 2 works of working evenings and weekends, was earning a fairly consistent income at the 6 month mark and quit my job and went full-time at 12 months.
That was when I joined Wealthy Affiliate back in 2014 and all I did was follow the step-by-step training and took massive action.
I started out (like most) on the free Starter membership and decided to upgrade to Premium after a couple of days. Here’s a full Starter vs. Premium Comparison.
There’s a definitely a lot of money to be made for those willing to put in the time and effort that’s needed. I hope this helps you on your journey and I wish you every success!
